About Bay Family Mediation
Bay Family Mediation provides professional family dispute resolution services to help families navigate challenging times with dignity and respect.
Our Approach
We believe that families are best placed to make decisions about their own futures. Our role is to facilitate constructive conversations in a safe, neutral environment where all parties can be heard.
Mediation is a confidential, voluntary process that empowers families to work together to find solutions that meet everyone’s needs, particularly those of children.
Why Mediation?
Mediation offers families a more collaborative, cost-effective, and less stressful alternative to court proceedings. It allows you to maintain control over decisions affecting your family while working towards outcomes that are sustainable and workable for everyone involved.
Our Commitment
We are committed to providing impartial, professional mediation services that respect the unique circumstances of each family. Our focus is always on finding practical, forward-looking solutions.
How Mediation Works
Mediation is a structured, voluntary process where a neutral third party helps you and the other person reach your own agreements — without going to court.
The Process
- Initial enquiry — Contact us to discuss your situation. We’ll explain the process and answer any questions you have.
- Intake session — Each party meets separately with the mediator. This gives everyone a chance to share their perspective and prepare.
- Joint sessions — All parties meet together with the mediator to work through the issues. Sessions are conducted at a pace that works for everyone.
- Agreement — If agreement is reached, it can be documented in a parenting plan or referred to a solicitor to be formalised.
